| Whats new in my life? Well I am NOT pregnant (had to get that out first since some girls ask me that every so often), I have had the same job for over three months, oh and in a week and a few hours I will be boarding a plane heading for Bankok, Thailand. Why you may ask? It is all business! No really, I am heading over there with work to check out their hospital, establish relations with them and work out all sorts of other details. It will be me, a co-worker, my supervisor and her husband flying over there and staying for 10 days. But all of this can only happen if I get my passport by then, (That is just one minor detail we are still working on.) so be in prayer that God would give those processing my application a bust of energy and get that baby finished! Now you all also know how to be in prayer for my beloved wonderful husband, he will be here all alone and its even his fall break two of the days I am gone. Besides all of this, life is the same, except I really hate the fact that it is dark when I still get up. I rarely had to worry about that in Life Action-oh how I miss those days. Hey I think that Brad and I are going to go see the team in Little Rock, AR! I am super excited and hope that we don't get some kind of curve ball, that would completely throw us off track. Anyways more for another day. | | |
| Wow! I was just skimming through Calm My Anxious Heart (a book that I have already read twice, but figured it would be great for me to read it again) and reading things that I had underlined before and I came across this.
"Elisabeth Elliot remembers that the children of the jungle tribe in South America where she ministered never complained because they had not been taught to complain. Listen to you heart. Listen to your words. Look at your actions. Are you teaching you children to be grateful for God's blessings?"
Wow! Think about all the little things that we might (that I do) complain about. Temperature (too hot or too cold), cell phone reception, other people's driving... those are just a couple that I know I probably mention in a day. I know for sure that one day when I have kids I don't want them to be ungrateful, complaining children. I want them to see the blessings that we have and to also be a blessing to others. Thought I would just share what God is hitting me with right now.
Well I go tomorrow to test for my new job. I am going to be working at the Assemblies of God National Headquarters doing data entry for their missionaries. I am excited about this new avenue that God is leading me through. I will also get to meet the three other ladies I will be working with. I am extremely excited about working here and look forward to learning from these women. Well I will post more later.
| This morning as I was getting ready for work and Brad was fixing my lunch, he asked me what I wanted for dessert. After thinking all of two seconds I decided on a nutty butter bar. Then the scariest thought crosses my mind. WHAT IF MY KID IS ALLERGIC TO PEANUT BUTTER??? After I told Brad, I started coming up with ways to still be able to enjoy peanut butter and keep my kid safe. Do you think that by exposing them to peanut butter while they are in the womb they could build up an immunity to peanut butter, or could they have an allergic reaction to peanut butter in the womb? Interesting thoughts but for now I can still enjoy my peanut butter and chocolate with out worrying. (Once again I am not pregnant!)
I wish that we could have gone to Jennifer's wedding, but there is work and also Brad has finals this week. So you can be praying for him! I hope yall had fun and I can't wait to see pictures from the wedding!
| Yesterday was quite interesting to say the least. We were out at Brad's parents after church and had just got done eating lunch when his dad came in and informed us all that Zori (our puppy) was completely covered in mud. Apparently she had rolled around in a mud puddle, then proceeded in rubbing her muddy body all over their cream pannel house and jumping on their door. Needless to say she definitely needed a bath after that. So Brad and his dad lathered her up and gave her a bath, that she didn't enjoy because of cold water well water, then they cleaned the house. It was quite a show!
Some other exciting news Brad and I got a new couch! It is tan microfiber and is actually long enough for Brad to lay on and still have some extra space and also it is so deep that when I sit on it my feet don't even touch the ground. This is the first couch that we both agreed on as far as comfort and appearance. So hopefully we will go pick it up tonight or sometime tomorrow!
| Well tonight when I got home from work I started thinking about what I would cook for my wonderful husband after reviewing our menu for this week I remembered there was a new receipe we were going to try and I thought why not tonight? Are you getting nervous for Brad yet? Just wait. So here is what I decided I would fix tonight was Puffy Oven Pancake ( Brad is the one that found this new receipe)
So I prepared it, stuck it in the oven and enjoyed the nice aroma as it was cooking. Well after 30 minutes the timer went off so I go to take out my new dinner and was very surprised at what the outcome was!
Needless to say it doesn't look like the picture you see above in the cookbook. Yet in the end we had a decent presentation and a good dinner.

I hope all of yalls evening was as fun and eventful as ours! Love yall!
